This Bur Oak is located near the Susquehanna River in what was at one time a working farm. Meeting the owner of the house he spoke about the history of the property and the tree while he was growing up. He pointed out a large block of wood that was in its lower branches and explained that the chunk of wood was left over from the 2011 flood. The water was nearly 10 feet high surrounding the tree. The owner showed off a photo his daughter had taken of the tree surrounded by water at sunset. The tree also had a large limb you can see in the photo that was lost a few years later.
